As I acquired more mini crawlers and a short course truck, I found out about the Mini Z road racers. They're available in 2wd and Awd. 

Kyosho sells Mini Z bodies as "Auto Scales". It's a matching body and wheel set that is displayable by itself. Awesome 

They handle very well and have a lot of throttle. It takes some getting used to just like a real high-power car. Too much go-pedal, and you're backwards

I first saw this rig on RC Adventures. After I saw the price, I had to try it out 

I expected a longer than usual truck, but this thing is fuckin' huge!

As soon as I got it the ideas flooded in. This truck is getting turned into a COE flat-bed tow truck for 1/10 scale trail trucks   

Like most crawlers, the stock servo blows. The ESCs are a bit glitchy too. Nothing the after-market can't take care of  

The suspension is pretty good. Metal links, lots of travel, decent shocks. But a few plastic parts were a little too flexible. Metal to the rescue!  

This this crawls it's ass off. It's like cheating. It even runs in pretty deep snow. Add some tire chains and it'll be like a fuckin' tank
