I did a lot of research when I decided to buy a mini crawler. The Barrage offered the best reviews and price
The truck has metal frame and lots of articulation. And it came with a light kit! Good shit for $100
The performance is good. The only complaints: the springs are too stiff for the vehicle weight, and the gearing is not quite right. You have to use too much throttle to allow slow crawling
I saw this on RC Adventures, throw on an ATV body and you have another great 1/10 scale accessory for your trail trucks
The best part is that there are tons of 1/24 toy RC's and static models. So you have a long list of great, inexpensive bodies to choose from
Adding a hard body adds some weight and helps the springs cycle better, but it must be mounted low or it destroys the center of gravity
1/24 Models are a treasure trove of cool bodies. This '78 Chevy Pickup looks sweet, and it's lighter than the Hummer body.

As I play with mini crawlers in the house I think, "I wish I could play with my slash in here"
I took to the web, looking for 1/24 Short Course Trucks. This one had great reviews and seemed well built. Plus it was only $60 bucks!
With an aluminum plate chassis and available upgrades like steel axles and aluminum suspension parts, I knew it would take some beating and last a while
The only problem really, the stock tires are way too small. The suspension can't cycle. I added the wheel combo from the Monster Truck version (same truck with bigger tires and different body) and now it rocks. And it's fuckin' fast!

I first spotted the Mini Q in RC Car Action. It looked like a good car to run with my Kyosho Mini Z and it was only $60 bucks!
It came with everything but AAAs for the transmitter
It was super easy to build. This would be a great starter build for someone new to the hobby
The AWD makes it nearly impossible to spin-out, and the speed is great. Fast enough for fun, but not too much
