When this truck came out my first thoughts were: "Traxxas already makes the Slash, why the hell would I want This?"
Before long, everyone was talking about this truck. You learned about it whether you wanted to or not; and the more I learned, the more I started to want one
Between the 4 wheel drive, planetary rear diff, scale details, and shear size, the UDR quickly became a must have
After it arrived I decided it needed to be more scale. MORE scale? Yeah, that's right; MORE SCALE
I did a shit load of scale upgrades. There is a 3 part video series on our YouTube Channel. It looks like you could get in and rip
After making it look so awesome, it was time to try it out. I run it pretty hard, but the details are holding up nicely

I love the mini trucks. They allow you to play inside and tell mother nature to fuck off. This one is nice, but damn was it alot
The metal is plentiful and the gearing and power are good. The first problem is that RC4WD screws the fuckin' bodies on everything. A body hinge takes care of that bullshit
The driveshafts are held in with pins and rubber bands.
Dumbest. Shit. Ever.
The suspension is great except for the super short shocks. There are no replacements available, so I'll probably fab up a cantilever system
I love the Bronco body, but it's to damn big compared to the other minis. The SCX24 Deadbolt body gets it down to 1/24 scale. Some RC4WD Scrambler tires give it more clearance.
I fixed the shocks. Basically, I just removed the springs. This allows way more shock travel. I also moved the lower links to the outside of the chassis. The two mods together result in a lot more articulation.

Axial SCX24 Deadbolt Body
The most capable addition to the mini fleet. This thing can crawl it's ass off.
When this truck was announced I knew I had get one.
The body is classic Axial. The suspension and drivetrain are very well designed. 3 link/4link with a forward set center skid articulates great
Metal chassis, flexible plastic, and combo electronics. On a small truck like this, I like combo units. It makes repairs cheaper
Licensed NITTO tires look great and are nice and soft, so they grab like crazy
The articulation is excellent. The gearing and power are just right for the size.
This truck doesn't seem to need anything. It may get a body or some scale stuff, it doesn't need performance help.
I did some fuckin' with the 1/24 trucks. The ECX Barrage body relocated here to the SCX24.
